FAQs

How do I know my young person will be safe at a KingsGate Youth event?

All of our events undergo thorough and extensive risk assessments, we have trained first aiders as part of the team and all of our team of staff and volunteers are DBS checked and undergo regular safeguarding training. The culture and vibe of any event we run is always focussed on fun, family and friendship, and creating a safe space for any young person to enjoy.

Do I have to pay for KingsGate Youth events?

The vast majority of our regular events are 100% free, and if tickets or payment are required, we do our best to keep costs as low as possible. At many of our Friday nights, we have The Future Store which has food, drinks and Youth merchandise that young people can purchase if they wish. Residential trips such as Youth Camp are paid events, but we always aim to keep costs as low as possible.

Do I need to stay as a parent at an event?

There is no need to stay, our team are fully equipped to look after your young people. If you're interested in becoming part of our volunteer team, then check out our 'Join the team' page!

My young person has additional needs, can they still attend KingsGate Youth?

Our goal is to make all of our events as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you are interested in bringing a young person with additional needs to KingsGate Youth, please get in touch and we can discuss how to ensure they have the best time possible, and we can aim to provide any extra provision they may need.

SAFEGUARDING

The safety and wellbeing of our young people is always our number one priority. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please do not hesitate to contact us at safeguarding@kingsgate.church
